Infection Control
Our priority as your dental care provider has always been to preserve and protect your health and safety.
We are in this together.
Our Precautionary Measures
As usual, we continue to follow all guidelines set forth by OSHA and the ADA in order to provide a clean, safe, environment in which to protect your health, both oral and otherwise. Our precautionary measures include…
Personal Protective Equipment
We possess and use all necessary protective equipment, including face masks, gloves, protective eye-wear, and protective clothing. Worn by our team and changed regularly, Personal Protective Equipment is designed to protect everyone in our practice from exposure to infectious agents.
Seeing One Patient at a Time
We will dedicate our attention to one patient at a time. This will also help reduce any risk of interacting with other patients.
Curbside Check-Ins
Having curbside check-ins will help reduce your risk of interacting with other patients who are scheduled that day. When the office is ready, we will call you to come in.
New Equipment
- Dental Aerosol Extractor
We have incorporated an external suction to remove excess aerosol created by dental instruments. Aerosols contain water, saliva, blood, debris, and microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. This suction has powerful fan to draw in dental aerosol into his filtration system producing clean, sanitized air back into the room. It has an ULPA filter that filters up to 99.9995% efficiency on particles 0.12 microns and larger (COVID-19 is .125 microns) and activated carbon filters for chemical fumes. - Air Purifiers
We have included medical grade air purifiers throughout the office and in our treatment rooms. These air purifiers use high efficiency HEPA H13 filters tested to remove 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns. These purifiers are able to clean the air every 15 mins. - Dryshields
We have incorporate DryShields during cleanings and dental treatments to keep you, other patients, and the team safe. DryShield provides high-suction inside the mouth reducing aerosols and protecting the tongue and throat. It’s a great solution in providing isolation, comfort to patients, and quality dentistry for an ideal patient experience.
Regular Sanitation
Common touchpoints, including seating, workspaces, door handles, railings, and restrooms are sanitized on a regular basis by our team with effective cleaning solutions certified to kill viruses.
Sterilization and Disinfection of Patient-Care Items and Devices
Instruments and equipment used in your care are all regularly sterilized and disinfected to ensure that your health is maintained. Items such as surgical instruments and mouth mirrors are all subject to rigorous cleanings.
Hand Hygiene
Proper hand-washing is one of the most important measures our team takes to prevent the spread of infection. For routine dental exams and nonsurgical procedures, we wash thoroughly with water and hand soap specifically created for healthcare settings.
